Learning Resource Development – What’s New!

Our learning portfolio is now live on our website. This curated collection brings together a range of eLearning samples that showcase how our LRD team designs learning experiences that are not only visually engaging, but purposeful, accessible, and grounded in sound instructional design.

Inside the portfolio, you’ll see examples of interactive branching scenarios, animations and original illustrations, knowledge checks, and more, all designed for diverse audiences and sectors.

SkillBuilder^® Technologies – What’s New!

Our SkillBuilder^® Technologies are designed to support and motivate learners at every stage of their learning journey. SkillBuilder^® LMS is grounded in established competency-based frameworks and adult learning theory, providing a thoughtful, learner-centred experience. We work closely with our customers to reinforce what truly drives adult learning, giving learners autonomy, relevance, and purpose so they can engage more deeply and achieve meaningful outcomes.

Exam Proctoring

We’ve introduced new exam proctoring functionality that brings greater flexibility, transparency, and control to the exam experience for both learners and administrators. Learners can now select a scheduled proctor directly within the exam learning item, submitting a proctor request that is managed through a dedicated Proctor Hub. From there, proctors can easily review requests, accept or decline assignments, view upcoming exam sessions, and, where permissions are granted by a Super Administrator, edit exam session details as needed.

Super Administrators retain full oversight, including the ability to manage proctor permissions and enable a new access-code method for granting entry to exam sessions. To ensure everyone stays informed, automated notifications keep proctors and learners updated when a proctor is requested, declined, or when an exam session is rescheduled, creating a smoother and more coordinated proctoring process overall.

Invoicing

For our customers who invoice their learners, you now have the option to grant learners access to their training prior to payment.

Additionally, whereas previously the option to pay by invoice was only available at the individual level, this option is now available at the organization level as well.

Assignments

Administrators can now configure and edit the number of files a learner is allowed to update as part of their assignment requirements. You’ll also notice a new modernized look and feel to the redesigned Assignments page.

Meet Shauna!

Every ship needs a captain and, as the Director of Learning Resource Development, Shauna keeps our LRD team on course and sailing smoothly. She also works with our customers to expertly shepherd projects through to completion.

Every project is a new adventure, and Shauna likes to joke that her job has given her an entry level education in everything from siding a garage in Alberta, to driving a taxi in Saskatchewan, to operating a recycling depot in Ontario.

When she’s not writing for us, Shauna is busy hiking or biking in the nearby Rocky Mountains, or travelling the world with her two children! b
